1 Corinthians 10:13 The only temptations that you have are the same temptations that all people have. But you can trust God. He will not let you be tempted more than you can bear. But when you are tempted, God will also give you a way to escape that temptation. Then you will be able to endure it.

Each one of us has an Achilles heel in our emotional and spiritual makeup. A chink in our armour if you will. And that natural flaw or weakness, time and time again, ruins our day because the devil knows it only too well, and that’s exactly the point at which he’s going to attack. Time and time again.
So what’s your Achilles heel? Generally it’s one of what have come to be known as the Seven Deadly sins:
Lust, gluttony, greed, sloth (or laziness as we’d call it today), wrath or anger, envy and pride. Only seven of them, but it’s a pretty comprehensive list when you think about it.
As I read through them which one grabbed you? Which one did you hear and say – yep, that’s me! Here they are again, I’d be surprised if you don’t own at least one of them: lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy and pride.
Here’s a tip. If you want to have a better life than the one you’re having right at the moment, you need to deal with your particular Achilles heel. I know you’ve tried. I know you’ve failed. Sure you have. We all have. And that’s precisely why you need Jesus.

That’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.
