Download audio fileYep, it’s the weekend – hooray! Hopefully the chance for a bit of a break. But on this day of rest, there’s something I’d like to share with you.
The sense of privilege that I feel to be able to speak of the things of God with you and with many others through these daily Fresh devotional messages, I have to tell you, is beyond words.
Now, whilst I don’t know you personally, I do pray for you and for all those who watch, hear or read each devotional message in any one of over a dozen languages. And this is my prayer; this is my reason for doing what I do; this is the one thing that I long for, for you, deep within my soul:
Ephesians 3:17 I pray that Christ will live in your hearts because of your faith. I pray that your life will be strong in love and be built on love.
Because Jesus changes everything. Everything!
You and I, we can struggle to become better people; to overcome sin and temptation; to heal our relationships; to … whatever, and yet, most often, those are struggles that we’ll lose.
But when Christ dwells in our hearts through faith, when we draw ever closer to Him by His Spirit and His Word … that’s when we become strong in love; that’s when we’re built up in love; that’s when our lives, more and more, reflect the glory of the One who gave His life for us. So …
I pray that Christ will live in your heart because of your faith. I pray that your life will be strong in love and be built on love.
