Genesis 3:17-19 Then God said to the man, “I commanded you not to eat from that tree. But you listened to your wife and ate from it. So I will curse the ground because of you. You will have to work hard all your life for the food the ground produces. The ground will grow thorns and weeds for you. And you will have to eat the plants that grow wild in the fields. You will work hard for your food, until your face is covered with sweat. You will work hard until the day you die, and then you will become dust again. I used dust to make you, and when you die, you will become dust again.”

As sure as God made little green apples, as certainly as night follows day, if you start dabbling in evil, stress will start to fill your life. The problem is, that none of us ever thinks of ourselves as “evil”, right?

We all know that there’s good and evil in this world. And at a personal level, evil can be tempting at times. Okay, so evil is a pretty strong kind of a word; it’s not the sort of word that we readily use to describe ourselves; our thoughts, our motives, our intentions, our actions.

But let’s be honest, there are times when that’s exactly what’s going on in our lives. Evil. And remember, in God’s eyes there’s no such thing as a small sin. Rebellion is rebellion. Evil is evil.

Take Adam and Eve, all they did was eat that one crummy bit of fruit from that one tree that God told them not to eat from and look what happened to them:

Genesis 3:17-19 Then God said to the man, “I commanded you not to eat from that tree. But you listened to your wife and ate from it. So I will curse the ground because of you. You will have to work hard all your life for the food the ground produces. The ground will grow thorns and weeds for you. And you will have to eat the plants that grow wild in the fields. You will work hard for your food, until your face is covered with sweat. You will work hard until the day you die, and then you will become dust again. I used dust to make you, and when you die, you will become dust again.”

Make no mistake. Dabble in evil and stress will surely follow. It’s the way it was always meant to be.

That’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.

Hi Regina,

You might have misunderstood the message there.

The illustration of Adam and Eve shows the consequences that resulted from their disobedience.

….and talking of mistakes, we have all made one….that’s why I would recommend reading the booklet mentioned in the video titled “Turning Mistakes into Miracles”

I will send an eCopy to your email….please check your inbox…I believe it will bless you.

Jesus longs to heal you!….it was for you and me that He gave His life…..

I would also suggest that you remain planted in a good bible based church ….ask the Holy spirit to direct your path.

Talking to a christian counsellor will also go a long way.

We are praying for you.

Every blessing!

Regina

I have made the biggest mistake of my life giving my home and moving in with a man with whom I have already had a negative experience and left…but he went to therapy for 3 years in between though dating and living with other women (yet I found that out after moving in with him)…I was to write a book as I had had many professors of Oxford and Harvard saying I was a writer…but his negativity and control and manipulations and darkness has rendered me virtually helpless…having lost all of my soul…so this message means I will never recover as Adam and Eve…will never find joy again…and makes me want to take my life as it is no longer worth living…
